    Default Bergara rifles

Looking at the Bergara rifles but today I found some Tikas in stock. Torn on which one to go with. Anyone have any experience with both manufacturers?

Got both, like both. Impressed as heck with this B14 Ridge Short Barrel.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The bergara feels better to me, like the stock a lot. That can be fixed with the tikka.

Ive got a 6.5 B14 and it is a tack driver, I think they are the best rifles you can buy for under 1K.

Bought a Bergara B14 Wilderness last year and it’s a rack driver as well. I find myself reaching for it over all my others but don’t have any experience with a Tikka. When I buy another one, I won’t look at anything but Bergara

IMO you'll get a better quality barrel with Bergara, but you won't go wrong with a Tikka either. I lean toward the Bergara.

I have a tikka in .243 and it shoots lights out. I don't have a Bergara but heard nothing but great reviews.

had about 15 bergara's. About 7 in the safe right now. The least accurate between both of their actions that I've had is about .3" groups. Most are sub .2" guns. Very smooth actions and are on 700 footprint so the aftermarket options are endless. No experience with Tikka but I've heard really good things. Don't think you'll go wrong with either.

Most accurate - B14 HMR in 6.5CM Sub .1" gun
overall 6.5CM's have been the most accurate, however I have two 308 premier actions that are identical other than the 2" different barrel length. Both shoot .15 and .16 with me as the shooter.

The triggers on the Bergaras are awesome. I’m thrilled with mine
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

I have an older Tikka Stainless 25-06 (aftermarket stock and Swaro) and a Bergara 308.

Both quality rifles with great accuracy but the tikka to me feels like a better put together package….something about the factory stock in the Bergara doesn’t shoulder as good

Likewise here with an older, wood stocked .243, with a Swaro, and it's a keeper.

I've never had the opportunity to try out a Bergara, but with all of the good comments above it sounds like it's at least worth a look.

You’d be good with either. The Tikka will generally be a bit lighter.

I also have a Sako A7 243 that I may weed out as it doesn’t get to go much
