    Default Ammunition availability outside SC?

Checking the big duck hunting stores and can't find a case of shells to send out West. Has everybody secured theirs for their OOS trips already?

Yes. I left shells and money at 2 different Friends places out there last year in anticipation that they would be hard to find. My buddies out there added to the stash thankfully and we are good to go.

I might have to walk into Walmart. Nephew sent pic of some Winchesters on shelf, 2 box limit though.

Walmart in Orangeburg had all the 3” #4 Winchester’s you could stand, no limit.

Local wally store had Winchester 3", #3 and #4 steel. 1500 fps on the shelf. I grabbed what my son needed and rolled to self checkout.

I'm afraid if we think it's bad this year, next year will be much worse.

Yeah there's no steel shot anywhere. You can check local places, but as far as being able to order cases online, it's almost impossible to find 12ga anywhere. 20ga is even worst.

I’ve got plenty of shells. 12 both steel and lead. 16 lead. It’s made me be more conscious pulling the trigger.

They had these 2 months ago. I should have told him to grab all he could.IMG_20211011_163624.jpg
IMG_20211011_163642.jpg Today he said they had these.

Out of curiosity, when was the last time anyone had DNR check to see if you were actually shooting steel?

I hate 'em too but they work for my son's gun. I like Federal fast steel. I was buying it for $80 a case, after rebate, a year ago, it'd double that now.

I got lucky on a recent trip to Wisconsin for a kayak tournament. Stopped at Scheel's in Omaha, Nebraska and picked up five cases of Kent 3" #3s. I can't legally buy ammo here in Comifornia but there is a local shop over in Colusa that always seem to have the good stuff in stock. The trick seems to be finding the places that don't do mail ordering.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
