Default 1st with a bow in 10 years

Not a trophy by any means, but a success. I camp every year the last week of September and bow hunt, which is gettin harder to do as I get older. Usually way to hot but still go a few days anyway. 1st deer I’ve killed with a bow in about 10 years. Pretty dang exciting even it was a 95 lb. doe, 15 yard shot and she only ran about 75 yards. Saw a couple small bucks, great week overall. Really like the afternoons on the lake when almost know one is around. Public land hunt.69059[ATTACH]

I need to start that tradition. Maybe wait til October though. I hate sweating while camping

Congrats. No shame in that besides I'd rather eat a doe than a rotted ol buck anyday.

    Good stuff.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Nice work! I arrowed a doe last Thursday and gave her a boat ride as well. I’m a big fan, this will be my third deer season in a row where I’ve strictly hunted deer via my skiff.
