    Default How Big?

Son just sent this cell phone pic. Second one in the exact same spot within 30 days.
Driving thru the woods to our trout hole. Definitely a different bear than the other pics he sent

    Needs one more year.

    That’s a big-O possum.

    100lbs at best.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Yeah I’d say less than 200lbs. That’s a younger bear. Those lanky legs are a giveaway. Dad and I used to hunt eastern NC black bears in the early 2000’s every year. They get heavy but don’t necessarily get long like you see more common in bears out of Canada or Alaska. I was with one guy and I was backup man on a dog drive. Bear came barreling out the woods and that guy dropped him almost at his feet. Was over 450lbs, and barely 5’ long. Looked like a black 55 gallon drum.

    I'd guess 200lbs max.

From that pic I’d say between 160-180.

I've got one that may be 150 that's frequenting one stand. Another that's 400 plus if he's an ounce but very infrequent. I think I am going to let the boy sit for the frequent bear, because he's wrecked three feeders, gobbled up $1k in corn and needs to pay some rent. I'll hunt the big one.

I killed a 600 lb black in Sask. years ago. That is a baby. Needs to grow a few years.

That's a puppy of a bear. I've seen a couple here recently that are easily 400# or better.
