Property I hunt is getting cleared. I got the surveyor on trail cam today walking around…
Anyone know the timeframe from survey to moving equipment in? I’m out of town til end of the week and not able to get my cams outta the woods.

You have to leave them. Trail cameras are included when they buy the timber. Go ahead and bend the bottom of your stands so they can straighten them for you
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
You've got time. Could be a few weeks or 24 mos.

Property is in Sardis.
I knew the timber was sold, its only about 50 acres. Just don’t want them to cut the tree my cams are on before I get out there to take em down. Those reveals are hard to come by ya know.
If they are marking lines likely coming soon, but a lot of factors can influence that. Long story short there’s no telling.
More Ducks, Less People
Ok.. next question, how will a new clear cut affect the season?
Get your stuff out now and hunt from the ground until cut time...........Which will depend on what timber is bringing.......The mill and the loggers.
I had some cut last year that was completed in October. Did see lots of does but mainly because you can see a country mile. My bigger deer left and didn’t see them much at all until after season. I didn’t have much in the way of food plots on that tract so I’m sure that could change things if you have them.
With all this rain you probably just got the timeframe extended. Gonna be pretty wet to cut timber so you probably have a few more days to get crap out. Talk to the forester, those guys will usually let you know the plan.
Seems like a simple call to landowner would answer questions. You could tell him about trail camera locations so he can give the forester a heads up. This rain may slow things down or speed them up depending on the ground conditions.
Did your son at least get that buck you posted?
"They are who we thought they were"
You can dress a fat chick up, but you cant fix stupid
Put a loggerhead turtle nest in the middle of the timber
There are a lot of factors going into "when". Was the person on the camera a consulting forester or a representative of the logging company? The loggers like to work in the summer and fall because the soil is dry and their equipment does not get bogged down. That said, if the tract you are concerned about has good drainage then they can cut anytime. The price of timber will also push this and right now timber prices are high. I would be getting my stands and cameras out ASAP.
