I need some binos. Internet research has led me down many rabbit holes with many opinions. Not looking to break the bank but would like something decent to keep for a while. Is there anything or any brand I need to stay away from?
Whatcha got.

For what?
I've probably got five different answers but it's to five different questions...

Vortex Diamondbacks, I have a pair of leupolds that cost twice as much and the diamondbacks are clearer.
I've got the Vortex Diamondbacks. Pretty good binoculars for the money IMO.
I’m with Rick on this…. Buy something top of the line and keep forever
Got lucky and mine were given to me.
We were in Las Vegas in 2010 for the national Homebuilders association trade show. SHOT show was also that week. I was still in high school and dad let me skip school for a week to go out there with him. My dad bumped into someone he knew out there who said he could get me in the Shot Show, this gentleman rented booth space to vendors and steiner was one of his customers at SHOT. I can’t remember his name now but he and I were talking and I told him I had just finished my Eagle Scout project, he had a son a year or so younger than me that was in scouts as well. We checked out the shot show for a couple hours and then he dropped me back off at the bellagio hotel where we were staying so I could catch back up with my dad for the rest of the day. Never seen him again since, but about a week after we got back a package showed up at the house with two brand new pair of steiners in it, one for me, one for dad with a note that said “ congrats on making Eagle”
Diamondbacks are good.
Best I've found for the money are bushnell trophy xlt off Amazon

Okay - I got this...so, I'm pretty minimalist about what I carry to the deer stand and I don't sit until black, black dark either so I get by with a pair of these...they are pretty cheap, waterproof and super clear...I mean they are better than my "big" pair of birding binoculars. I love these little guys and use them all of the time. They do not, however, gather much light and are only slightly better than my own eyes for the last five minutes that I hunt but I've found out that I usually won't carry them if all I have is a big pair of binoculars.

RT is like me. He has kids. Boys at that. When I buy something I expect it to work awesome, until they get ahold of them

I use a pair of 30 year old Swarovski 8x30s. Never found them to be lacking for any purpose. A few times out west I have wanted more magnification. Overall , they have been wonderful. Still as clear and precise as the day I bought them.
I am in the buy once without regret crowd.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
Bought some 42 leicas with the rangefinder built in.
They are very nice
Highly recommend.
These have been great. Focus at 10ft or 500 yds quickly. A little heavy but I wear a shoulder harness so no big deal.

My next pair will be a set of Leica binoculars with the built in range finder, but I can't make myself spend $3k on binoculars at the moment.
With that said, I bought a pair of Maven 10x50 binoculars 4 or 5 years ago. I've been really happy with them, they're under $500. I had Leuopod, Bushnell, and Vortex before these, I like the Maven's a lot more. I've put them through a decent amount, multiple duck seasons, multiple hunts in Canada for big game that involved a lot of hiking, Argentina big game, and a ton of deer/bear hunting around the southeast. They've held up perfectly. Those paired with a good bino harness and you'd be good to go for around $500. I'm in the market for a spotting scope, and it will likely be a Maven as well.
Another recommendation for Vortex Diamondbacks. IMO, for $130 you can't beat them. If you want to spend a lot more $$$, there are certainly better options out there that others have brought up.
