I did the same on the way home from work a couple weeks ago. Bastard was grown. Hit him twice, then had to go up the road a piece to turn around because cars were coming in both lanes. One car just so happened to be an old lady that pulls right up to the snake that is curled up in the middle of the highway and proceeds to roll down her window, smile, and take pictures of the snake like she's at the damn zoo. While shes doing this the snake gathers its thoughts and slides off into the ditch/cut down to never be seen again. I've never been so pissed at a little old lady..

People that kill rattlesnakes probably sleep with a night light.

People that kill cottonmouths are guaranteed salvation.

Shit, even at 7,000+ft in f'in Idaho I still have rattlesnake encounters! This prairie had a surly attitude, unlike most Southern rattlers I stumble upon.

Most canebrakes I see are pretty chill. That prairie looks mean.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I almost stepped on two at 8,000 feet this year, those things have a different attitude to them.
