Default Principles are a hell of a thing

Who knew I supported abortion? Now with the vax moving to mandatory I'm in the "My body, My choice" camp. My job is probably moving towards mandatory vax, been on the job for 27 years, was looking forward to being here a few more years to get the house paid off before retiring and probably taking another job with more flexible hours. So now If I want to stand on my principles I may have to quit or "bend or sacrifice" my principles in the name of financial security. All for a "vaccine" that isn't really a vaccine and is only mandatory for a select few. I mean, if its so important to be vaxxed what about the millions of illegals they are spreading across the country or the afghans being brought in by the thousands? Or the postal workers that are touching everyone's mail and visiting everyone's mailbox daily?

Thing is, I'm all about a companies right to run their business as they see fit but I think that should extend to the individuals right to choose what they do with thier own body. Where to draw the line?

principles are a hell of a thing.

No doubt! It’s hard to understand why a vaccinated person is concerned that I’m not?
Or if you are vaccinated and are exposed you don’t have to quarantine for 10 days?? Vaccinated can still get the virus and still give the virus???
But yet my antibodies don’t count for anything…

Is religious exemption an option? MRNA vaccines were tested on cells grown from aborted fetal cells.

Best of luck to employers who will have to replace highly talented, skilled, and experienced employees (like yourself, OP).
I am very much against unions, but the workforce should stand together on their morals.

I’m in the Teamsters. Unions themselves are as democratic as they come. They will be all for following Biden’s orders. The members on the other hand are a different story. I’m at UPS and all the corporation really cares about is its image. They want us to wear mask while in front of customers. While there are signs in the warehouse saying mask are required they aren’t enforced. I think large corporations won’t want to take on the cost of testing employees and will have real concerns with a lack of workforce if they mandate vaccination. I could be wrong but I think you will see some pushback from large companies.

If your faith does not involve a man dress or burka, then you better get in line or plan on not working for the gub meant. Elections have consequences. By midnight we should find out what the cost of shutting down CA twice has done for its governor. It will be a real litmus test for dems across the US. If he remains, then I fear we will see a great deal more hubris on the part of dems as they make their victory lap around the country. MG. Dum Spiro, Spero

I’m all for a company protecting their interest as long as the mandate doesn’t violate law. The vaccine doesn’t . Get on board or get another job. It’s that simple.

Mandatory vaccine doesn't violate the law or protect a company's interest? Are you saying get the vaccine and shut up?

So what about the people that have had covid and now have natural immunity? Should they be required to get the shot also? When looking at the CDC website they say they do not know how long natural immunity last. They also say they do not know how long the vaccine last either. In fact already talking about booster shots. So show me the medical/scientific data that proves that the vaccine is better than the natural immunity. Everyone is saying trust the science but I can not find that scientific data anywhere. Where is the data that is showing the number of recovered covid patients that are getting it again and of those how many are going into the hospital. They want to push data that shows how many unvaccinated people get it and how many are in the hospital and compare that to the number of vaccinated people in the same situation. People need to realize that there are three categories 1. vaccinated 2. unvaccinated 3. recovered from covid with natural immunity. If a kid gets chicken pox they don't force them to get a chicken pox shots so show me the scientific data to support that those people that have had covid and recovered and have natural immunity need to be vaccinated. I am talking real data for those people not the data for unvaccinated people.

I am not opposed to the vaccine nor am I for it. I feel that it should be a choice of the individual and not something that is mandated by the government.

I get that, just saying it really sucks to be forced into this pigeonhole for no good reason. just look at the numbers, 11000 have died in SC due to 'covid related" illness, 5 million 145 thousand people live in SC, do the math, whats the percentage of fatalities due to "covid related" illness 0.0021 really seems pointless to mandate based on that data
