    Default What kind of grass do I have?

    This stuff is thin and fluffy. The base is very thick and feels like I’m walking on a thick piece of foam. I can’t figure it out, but I have some weeds and don’t want to drop anything down that might kill the grass.
    It might be the best pictures but maybe you can tell.

    I don't think it's something that I would smoke so is worthless.

    Yea the yard needs a ton of work, curb appeal is awful. Old owners put in random plants in random spots. Front yard has whatever this grass is, back yard is centipede. I’m just working with what I got, and I got a lot of work to do!

    That’s correct. Cut it real low in the early spring and bag it. I would come back and dethatch it then.

    Thatch almost killed my centipede. I keep it cut low and bag it now. And it loves milorganite.

    I put it on one lower setting and the mower clogged up on me within 10ft.

    Cut it lower gradually. Lower the mower every time you cut. I use a ferti lome winterize. Get it online from do your own. Decent prices fast shipping and you don't have to talk to a dumbass in an apron. As far as dethatching I bought a green works on amazon for a little over a hundred bucks. It worked fine the part that sucks is raking it all up.
