The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I’m with you, I think $12 a box is a bit high. By the way, your Chufa looks strong.

I haven't paid more than $100 for a flat of shells yet. The last order I received last week was $70. These were all 12 ga though.

    I will disagree.
High brass 6s on a winter shoot is the cats meow, especially if its windy and the birds are a little weary.

Just bought a case for 110 on midway, Low brass 7/8 oz. #9 just to have some shells down to selling limit of 3 boxes at 11.99 now. Slim pickings around newberry area as well as online.

I don't disagree that it's high, just saying trying to find any for less is going to be difficult. It has been for me at least.

If you have base access, Shaw has quiet a few. Simpsons on west mark in Sumter has or had a lot.

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
    --John Madson, The Mallard, 1960
