    I am in the stand now, close to Jamestown. Have yet to see a deer.

    But, as my friend Randolph would say, “I am in their living room.” They will come…

    On the paddle over, I saw anhingas, herons, and one duck. I have more water on me now than I have seen before.

    Covered up this evening. Feels great outside. August 15-January 1 gives everyone plenty of time to pick their days, no need to change anything except maybe the buck limit......

    I try not to sit if it’s over 80 degrees unless I get something good on camera. Sweating in a deer stand just sucks to me.

    I saw two fawns a mile from my house yesterday
    Little ones covered in spots, side by side eating on side of road right before dark
