For those of you shooting a BAR specifically in .270 Win, what ammo are you using?
I know every gun is different but it would be nice to not spend the bank chasing accuracy.

My BAR .270 likes the Remington Core Lokt in 150 grain the best.
Mine loves the 130gr Winchester Silvertips. Like everything else, they are impossible to find. I have a little over 2 boxes, but I would love to find one more.
My buddy shoots federal 130 gr boat tails.
I shot Federal 150 gr boat tails with my 3006 BAR

Same for me as ducribb. It loves the core lokts.

It’s a BAR, you’ll always be chasing accuracy…

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

I had a BAr 270 with the boss, and I fed it 130 grain ballisic tips.
Also had a handload that it loved. It was either 53 or 56 grains of IMR4350 (I cant remember for sure) with a 130 grain BT over it.
That was the most accurate rifle I have ever owned, factory loads or handloads.

130 grain Winchester Silvertips. Dropped 2 does at 225 yards with head shots at Webb Center years ago. Never had a problem with accuracy. Also never jammed.
I only hunt on days that end in "y"!
I believe this gun was originally made for 243 and 308. I'm guessing that most of y'all are shooting 270. Was it made in 30-06? yes I could look it up but I would rather ask the ducker knowledge base while I am typing.
I did have that Remington semi auto in 30-06. The day it closed on a finger it was gone the next.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

Common sense is not a gift. It's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone else who doesn't have it.
