Default Veteran's hunt this weekend at St. Stephens Field

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with this whatsoever, just sharing info.

I heard about it last year and inquired with the Army Corps of Engineers a week or so after the hunt took place. Long story short, ended up getting through to the guy who organizes it and it seems to be a pretty well-kept secret, as I've never seen it advertised anywhere which is a damn shame. Seems like if they go through all the effort to organize the hunt, then don't get the word out, how are vets gonna show up to participate? Anyways, rant over...

Apparently they open this field one Saturday a season to just wounded warriors/veterans/military, etc. Flyers attached. Says this hunt is wheelchair accessible.

Don't know if you gotta show your DD-214 at the door or what. Wouldn't ya know, I have military duty this weekend and can't attend, so I wanted to share with the brain trust. I know we have a good many folks that either have served and achieved 'Veteran' status or like me who are still currently serving.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
