Omm….no. The only 16 a real man will tote is a sweet sixteen. Only limp wristed men tote doubles with vertical barrels.

I'll never understand the fascinating with the 16 ga. Its kinda stuck between the 12 ga and 20 ga. Shells are hard enough to find in the current situation. Finding 16 ga shells has to be ever more difficult. Even reloading components are hard to find.

Got a Sweet 16, Model 12, Citori Lightening and some SXS’s in 16. Hardly ever shoot them though. I got a MEC for them and plenty of hulls and wads too. Just doesn’t do anything a 12 or 20 won’t do.

Don’t know the full extent of the truth in that but I’ve heard that saying my whole life. Only time I shoot my 16 is for quail and sometime rabbits

16 ga for quail and grouse...LC Smith field grade. If it ain't broke. That said, the CZ guns are a decent o/u in 16 ga...the sharptail?

I tend to agree with Gander. I own 1 16 gauge, and that's just because it belonged to my Grandad. Factoring in the cost of shells, I've never understood 16's or 28's.....

its fascinating bc its between the 12 (wasted on doves) and the 20 (im not gay and dont quail hunt) and the fact that shells are hard to come by makes me appreciate them.
