I wear Smartwool, a friend that does concrete work bought socks with lifetime warranty from Cabelas several years ago. I swear when they get thin he takes them back to a cabelas store and they give him new ones. He said they look at him like he's crazy but he paid 20+ bucks per pair to get the warranty and he uses it.

having a store close by that carries the same brand socks is worth considering.....instead of paying to ship and playing the wait game, i take a pair of darn tough with a hole in them to store a few miles away and swap out for a new pair right away

On another note, these Cole Haans are my favorite shoe I own.

Wigwam and smart wool are the ticket

they're comfy. I'd seen them around, but didn't know if I'd feel generic wearing them. I don't do sneakers, ie tennis shoes, or whatever.. But I'm on hard surfaces and on my feet a pretty good amount, so I need something. I have a couple pairs of those and a couple pairs of the zerogrand knit shoes, I like them a lot.

And socks btw, I buy basically in bulk. I'll be damned if I'm walking around looking for socks, or wearing anything worn out. I do have a teenage boy that'll raid my golf socks.. I bet I have a few dozen pairs of unopened different footies in my closet.. then some stance, polo, different makes in my drawers. Socks aren't really expensive in the grand scheme of things and new ones just make you feel sprightly.

The last ones I bought were a pack of bulk Smart Wool knockoffs and they work fairly decent. I'm not a sock snob.

Y’all laugh at them all you want. It’s the best socks I’ve ever bought. Bought 5 pair and I’ve been wearing them year round every day for over 4 years with my boots. No wear signs and my feet don’t sweat.

Nobody would give you money back for those sweaty white tube socks you were kicking a soccer ball in anyhow. But I'm with you, I ain't that broke and I hope I never am

I bought some plain ole Costco Kirkland brand white tube socks. They feel thick, but my feet have never felt better. I’m on them 8+ hours a day wearing Justin slip one’s. I’ve went back and bought 3 more packs.

lots of choices with darn tough.
    pick the height you want
    pick the cushion you want
    pick the weight

i think you would want the medium cushion.

i would try a couple pairs and find the ones you like and roll with it.

I have a lot of issues -socks are one of them. I've got some Darn Tough but I always find myself reaching for the REI Merino Wool socks first. I'd try loose shoes and expedition weight socks to allow some air flow.

I got some of these socks and they do pretty good. Wear them with uninstalled boots when it gets a little chilly around here and they do great and my feet do not sweat in them. Wearing some rando thin ankle socks now and my feet are sweating and its 68 degrees in the room I am in right now. Only reason I got them was they went on sale and I got 2 pairs. Will pick up some more when they go on sale again at some point. I have put some miles on both pairs and have held up pretty well.

If you have a choice, go with thin.
