    Default Masking mandate

    Shot down by Supreme Court.

Will any district defy the legislature and court?

    Will some return to virtual?

The news this am (WIS) reported that some Richland schools inside Cola limits will still enforce their mask mandate(s)

Email I got from my daugher's school last night stated that "2,000 students have tested positive or are currently in quarantine". District is 8,000 kids.

I hate when people write like that. So misleading.

What is going to happen to any school that does not listen????? I have a feeling nothing will actually happen and everything will keep on trucking as is and schools will slowly go virtual.....

My guess is that some students will go to school without a mask and you'll find out if it can be enforced.

My hope is some high schooler refuses the mask and refuses to leave the classroom until forcibly removed.

    Instant payday IMO.

    FYI

The SC Supreme Court ruled yesterday that local mask mandates are contrary to current state law and therefore not permissible.

Rogue school districts are like liberals in the government. They’re going to keep doing what they want to, and get away with it. At the end of the day, aside from some folks bitching and moaning about it and how it isn’t right, nobody is going to stand up and say, “Enough”, and actually take action.

The mask mandate law served its purpose well; to bring to light the southpaw districts and district leadership.

NO WAY kids are learning all pre high school math at home much less calculus and trig during high school virtually. Hell 3/4 of people can’t make change in their heads or figure percentages. And I’m including these members. It’s just a sad fact. Districts have GOT to get their heads out of their asses figure it out and teach these children.

DD2 has a problem with teachers. Even after they emptied the offices and put admins in the classrooms, they are still short several teachers. What did you do with those kids? At least with virtual the teachers can teach from home. It's not ideal, but some learning is better than none.

Good. Less traffic for school dropoff and pickup for me.
