I'm gonna make that trip again one day.

And, I'm gonna drag a boat and get after those lobsters.

I bet that was a supper fit for a king.

We have started doing it every year. It is a blast. We have 6 kids down here. I won’t say I have it completely figured out but learn something new every year. And yes, we stuffed our face last night with lobster. Snapper on the menu for tonight.

Fine work. Only downside for me is the number of folks that go . I liked the Keys in the 80s when the area was pretty well underutilized.

Hasn’t been bad this week. I’ll never do mini season again.

My friend in Vaca says the upper Keys are overrun with folks from Miami metro that are creating some real issues. Trash everywhere , traffic incidents, indecent behavior, and just generally taking the fun out of being there. Only positive is that they go home on Sunday evening.

I learned a long time ago that mini season is not the time to go. Glad yall are having a blast though. My family and I have some great memories of the Keys for sure. Enjoy it .

Nice job on cooking the bugs. Post some photos of the fish tonight.. I love eating them too. Grilled skin side down or fried, doesn't matter. A little basting with some Key Lime butter and devour.

We took the kayaks down on my last trip and stayed in Marathon at an Airbnb. Still managed plenty of snapper and lobster!! I sure do love trips down there and I'm envious of the pics! My favorite is renting a house on Big Pine Key. Close enough for trips to Key West without the need to deal with the crazy people that stay there full time!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Nice! Hard to beat. We have a house rented next summer in Marathon for the mini. Looking forward to getting back down there. We went in 2019 and had a blast with three families and two boats. A great trip, but already dreading the drive pulling the boat.
