    Default Recurvin

Flinging a few in the back 40 this am when this happened. It appears I have this thing dialed in. I’m surprised it didn’t go farther up the first shaft. Angle looks kinda funky. 25 yards with a Morrison Phoenix 19” riser, Uukha carbon limbs, 47 lbs at my draw, Beman Centershot 400 shaft with 200 grain point.

If you did that blindfolded you’d be a Ninja.

    Nice shooting.

Red Robin! That’s what my boy calls it. He came out telling me to “shoot a Red Robin!” the other day. It’s Red Robin from that point forward. Nice shooting!

String it up and shoot it unless it’s so warped the string won’t stay in the groove.

I had one on my old Shakespeare, but when I went down to meet ol' Owen Jeffery, at Trad's recommendation, and he saw that my bow was one of his original Shakespeare designs, he heated it up and put it in the press while he took me in to set up me up for some arrows. Afterward, he took me out back to set up and tune my bow with a new string and give me a few lessons. He was a national treasure.

I can't say, however, how much bend can be tolerated before it affects your accuracy, or, as FLS says, your string won't stay in its groove. Shoot it and see what happens... or go have Jefferey straighten it, assuming they still make custom bows.
