    Default Center for Disease Control

Yesterday, the CDC, went right around the Supreme Court opinion and mandated an extension of the rent moratorium until October. What gives the CDC the authority and why is this in this forum you ask.

Firstly, nothing gives the CDC the authority to tell American property owners that they cannot remove non paying renters from their properties. Nothing.

The socialist controlled US media came down hard on the Biden Administration for not extending the rent moratorium and they caved. The media's reasoning? President Trump's SCOTUS appointees are illegitimate in their eyes.

Now, why is this here? Watch for the CDC to mandate that private American gun ownership is a public health crisis and see...

This is the part that I'm scratching my head about. How can they mandate this?

Not going to end well...... Hot spots for gun violence will be a public health crisis and can we can see all predict how that will go?

Its unconstitutional. The CDC can't circumvent laws passed by the lawmakers. The CDC is not some new 4th arm of the government and they know it. They just want to get some more mileage out of the eviction moratorium and gain favor with the radical left wing communists.

We did, by obeying nonsense unquestioningly. We gave the inch, now the mile will be taken.

Imagine being a landlord and not getting paid, while the bank says pay or we'll take it.

Worse than that - imagine being a landlord, being told that you can't collect rents, but the taxes are due. I haven't heard a peep about a moratorium on property tax collection yet.

Id go to jail most likely because they would come home and find their shit on the curb. Hence reason i dont plan to invest in real estate. A man has to know his limitations.

CDC has the authority because no one will stop them hence they will get away with it.

I was looking at two rental properties this morning and going back and forth on the matter. Thanks for the kick in the ass I needed to run the other way

Just the newest play in their playbook for wealth transfer. A replay of the 2008 criminality would be too obvious

So I'm reading that Landlords can now evict. The CDC doesn't have the authority, landlords need to just start evicting and let the lawyers settle it all.

Want to hear the worst story I've heard so far?

A local guy inherited a rental property in Brooklyn. His renter bailed out of the city during covid and didn't return, and quit paying rent. The former renter sublet the apartment to someone else. Now, the landlord can't collect rent or evict the current tenant while the original renter is collecting his rent. Courts are too backed up to get anywhere and the landlord really can't go up to Brooklyn from here to sort things out.
