    Default Whole Hog

Looking at doing a whole hog this fall. Anyone have any recommendations where to purchase? Preferably in the lowcountry area.

    Place in kingstree. Williamsburg meats?

Had someone tell me that runs a restaurant that the last hog they got from burbages would be the last one from there for whatever that is worth.

If I was buying one, I'd go to Winningham's in Cross, near Ridgeville. While you're there, grab some liver pudding and sage link sausage. It's about a 45 minute drive from Mt. Pleasant.

Winninghams in Ridgeville/Lebanon is going to be the cheapest.

IGA St. Stephen’s is also decent

You could always ask a hog hunter to provide you with a nice sow as well. I prefer whole cooking wild ones over tamies any day...

Marvin's Meat in Hollywood. They will Season and everything. Be sure to order in advance to make sure they have what you need. Price varies by Size, smaller is more per #.
