    Default Charleston Mechanic Recommendations

I need a good general mechanic to take a look at a few things on an old Jeep. As badly as I want to, I can’t get it to KRT.

Toby over at Coastal Automotive in Awendaw. Just outside of Mt. Pleasant. Super nice guy, shoots straight, and always has old jeeps and stuff sitting in and around the shop. He has pretty much exclusively done anything I needed done... Byrd's would be my 2nd choice.

If you are near James Island, Bryson’s in Riverland Terrace is great.

There's a mechanic at Midas on Sam Rittenburg named Carl who is my go-to. He's an automotive nerd and as honest as they come. I've followed him from store reassignments over the years and he has taken amazing care of me.
