Default Suzuki anodes / salt away

I know how we all love debating boat related things:

Gave the boat a heavy salt away flush in a tub today and pulled the top anode before and after.

Engine has 322 hours and is 7mo of use. Fresh water rinsed after each use through flush port.

So, it made basically no difference?

the Suzuki internal anodes are fairy inexpensive, I change them every 100 hours,
they are doing what they are suppose to do

I was hoping I could stretch it to an annual thing but I guess I’m wrong. First time I had pulled to inspect them.

I've always thought Salt Away was just a gimmick. After getting off of salt water, I usually plan my trip home so I can back the boat into a freshwater landing with the plugs pulled. I let the bilge fill up and the bilge pump turn on. I run the aerator and run the big motor in forward and reverse while still strapped to the trailer. A hard reverse really washes up under the trailer too. Running on muffs or just using the flush port is only when I absolutely can’t do anything else. I’m not much on chemistry but salt is very water soluble so a simple flush in fresh water does wonders.

As I said, IF you have a Suzuki, you better stay on top of that.
