    Default Gone wild

If I had some hot ladies that wanted to do a nude photo shoot at our dove field we could call it “Pigweed Gone Wild”!

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Ours is doing good. Got a bad feeling the millet is gonna head out and burn up too early. Knee high already

I just sprayed mine with post emergent yesterday. I think the short term drought gave the weeds enough head start to resist the herbicides. We got a sprinkle today but I want a nice splash to wash in the Imox. I hit them with liquid nitrogen last weekend and I was afraid they'd be too tall to spray this weekend but I didn't seem to hurt them. It's going to be weedy but the flowers are jumping up. A good dog is going to be very helpful for finding birds this year.

I left the wheat strips I "planted" last October and November and they have birds in them. The rodents are too and probably explain why a good sized timber rattler was on the edge of the field when I was putting out some Milorganite. He was safely relocated.

Mine are just starting to bloom. Smaller heads than I wanted but they will be fine. Field is clean. Corn did well also.

My field seems to be smaller than yall fellas but Im still happy with it so far. I also have another 3/4 acre plowed and ready plant millet. And I am a ember at anohter 8 acre flower field. I should have some birds to shoot at somewhere.

Those are some damn pretty fields. I seriously miss being where a dove hunt is a social event highlighted by the smell of gunpowder and good eats.

Tell me about your setup there lol. I’ve heard of people building cattle feedlots to hunt over but I ain’t ever seen a setup that looks like a rock quarry loading zone
