    Default New hunting stick

Sent my buddy Steve at Apache Machine and Custom the parts and he put this 25-06 death ray together. 700 Action, 257 #3 Bartlein barrel, HS Precision ADL stock, and a Trigger Tech Special. I’ve got a bunch of the new Sierra 110 grain Game Changers and 120 Swift A Frames to work up a load with.

    Sweet
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Me too. They shoot shoot flat hit harder than they should and don’t kick much. I’ve got a WY cow tag I’m gonna try and fill with it.

Anybody had any trouble with those Trigger Techs?

I've got a buddy that's on TT #4 or 5 at this point.

    Failures in two different rifles.

    It's weird...

What type of failure? If you try and go too light on a 700 they can drop the sear on closing. The rifle wont fire but you will have to re cock it. I had one 700 that I've shot the piss out of that did that. I had to go to a Timney so I could increase the sear engagement. Even with the Calvin Elite, you can still feel a tiny movement before the break. The tolerences are sloppy on the last few years of 700s and the TT triggers have minimal sear engagement. That's why you don't feel any movement before the break. . All my actions for builds are older 'C' prefix actions. The tolerances are really tight on those. Steve said he had to take less than .001-.002 off the front of action, the face of the bolt and the bolt lugs
