Thinking of driving to ND this year. We've got 3 dogs and my eight year old son going and it will be a lot cheaper. Anyone that's driven got a best and shortest way to go? All info is appreciated.

Gundogguru love to drive I did it ONCE. Beautiful drive, but 27 hours straight is too much. I fly now.

The cheapest tickets we found for the dogs this year were $280 each way. W/ 3 dogs, 2 additional tickets for kids, rental costs of vehicle once there, it just makes more sense monetarily to drive. Drove to MN 2 years ago straight through. Going there wasn't bad, but coming home sucked.

27 hrs=3 cans kodiak, 12 cups of strong black coffee, a big pee jar, and a sore azz.

Yeah - YOU should drive... It would be prohibitive to fly.

Figured the gas and looks like ~$500,split 2 ways. Yeah, I think that answers it.

Gundogguru and I are driving out in Oct. We are also taking 3 dog, 2 lab and a pointer for upland. As for the route in which we will travel you will have to ask him. Good luck!
