I've been hearing more and more whistles. RP and I happened upon a rooster sitting on a limb calling his head off saturday. Made me smile

It's a good day to be alive when you hear that whistle, Phoneman.

Phoneman was reaching for his 44.....
The whistle count around our place, and Phoneman got a good sample of it Saturday, has been right high. A lot of this is due to my club's efforts, a neighboring club and the WMA next door. Coming together it all makes a difference.
And let me add that Phoneman has assisted me more than a few times with our work. What's even better is he can't hit a bird for shit and he has a good dog.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.
I don't think it would hurt to join QF either...They keep the money raised locally at chapter events in the chapter. That goes directly into conservation efforts being made to create new habitat and preserve existing habitat. They are having quite an impact. They also work with private land owners to help them manage for quail.

A friend took this pic on my place a few weeks ago 91ADBBB6-4A18-4A8E-9E54-5485014BAC05.jpeg
I wish I could post a video off my phone straight to the forum….so far have seen 4 clutches of little birds on the property I manage….long way to go to reach the 14 we saw last year….but they are doing well in my part of the world
When in doubt, shoot him again!
Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!
