    Default Surveyor/Property line question

    Maybe the wrong forum...

Have a buddy with a tree/property line question. Buddy has a dead poplar tree (no leaves for at least a year) that is right the property line. A survey was just done and the tree is maybe 95% still in other neighbors yard but if you run the property line it does touch it. Who is responsible for this tree ? Thanks!

The surveyor. It's ALWAYS their fault......

Joint ownership of the tree both have equal responsibility to the dead tree. Does not matter who owns what portion. Atleast that is my take on it.

Feets is right. The surveyor is responsible for removing the tree, and re-sodding the entire yard.
