I’ve got a K10. Bought it in Highschool and drove it until I was 23. Put a motor in it and did some stuff here and there but overall just drove it. It was a 1 owner and had minimal rust, decent paint, etc. 350 w/ a sm465 (granny gear) manual trans. Like driving a UPS truck but for a secondary truck its been great.

I will say, before I bought that I wanted a single cab early 90s Toyota. I think either would be a fine choice.

Apparently you and a lot of other people. It’s crazy what they are selling for.

While I love a short-bed K10, when it comes to what I would buy if given the choice, it would be Toyota all day every day.

Toyota is bad ass but not enough room in the cab IMO. Out of all the trucks I've owned over the years this was one of my favorites.

I’m all about reliability. So, I don’t buy shit made by GM.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That 6.2 might be one of the worst diesels ever produced.

I have a 90 and a 97, still my favorite trucks. 113k miles on the 90 and 348k on the 97 currently. That being said I've beenlooking for a 4wd tacoma for awhile now, but they are proud of them.

Yeah, I bring knowledge vs opinion. The 6.2 is the biggest downfall in GM’s history as far as a diesel.

That was a good body style. I'd love to find a mid 90's in good shape.

6.5L can’t be far behind. Then again I at least got 50k miles out of one which is 45.5K more than I got out of a BrokedownMax.

What are your plans with the truck?

I love early Toyotas. I have had quite a few. The only real con is pulling anything. Not that they can't, but it's not always ideal.
