    Default Fried mushrooms tonight

IMG_20210711_081305774.jpg Heard a gobbling turkey, saw 3 hens with poults and found enough of these to share with a friend. Pretty good morning in the woods this morning.

Start them in a dry pan, after the give up their water add some butter, salt and pepper. Let them brown well, towards the end add a little minced shallot and garlic. Enjoy!

They’re also great if you cook as stated above and add to some fresh pappardelle pasta with a splash of heavy cream and a little fresh Parmesan. No trailer cheese

After seeing this post, I noticed these not long ago. Is this the same kind?

I’ve never been a huge fan of mushrooms. Noticed these the other day. Chanterelle??

Don't take my word for it but both of those Sets of photos look like chanterelles to me.

They look it, the false ones are typically more round. Then the real ones have good veins underneath

The false ones have gills, the real ones have veins. The false ones are more orange, the real ones are more peach/apricot. When in doubt, toss em.
