That time of year for sure. How are you frying yours?
Simpler the better with shrooms, but I have been wondering about throwing some in duck fat as opposed to the usual evoo...
Start them in a dry pan, after the give up their water add some butter, salt and pepper. Let them brown well, towards the end add a little minced shallot and garlic. Enjoy!
They’re also great if you cook as stated above and add to some fresh pappardelle pasta with a splash of heavy cream and a little fresh Parmesan. No trailer cheese
I just started picking not too long ago. I have picked these in upstate. Think they are around the lowcountry?

Yes
After seeing this post, I noticed these not long ago. Is this the same kind?

I’ve never been a huge fan of mushrooms. Noticed these the other day. Chanterelle??

Don't take my word for it but both of those Sets of photos look like chanterelles to me.

They look it, the false ones are typically more round. Then the real ones have good veins underneath
That's for ishoot, jrebs I'd have to have a better look
Jrebs kinda don't look like them
Thanks fellas. I wasn’t planning on eating them but was just curious.

The false ones have gills, the real ones have veins. The false ones are more orange, the real ones are more peach/apricot. When in doubt, toss em.
