Going to Kansas in the morning. We are going to shoot ducks and pheasant. The weather looks good for both. It is supposed to be snowing there by morning so I hope the ducks will be there for us.

From what I've been told by friends that have been there it is mostly mallards and canada geese. Sounds like a good combination for a meat hunt.

18 hours ain't too bad considering most of the people that I know that have been hunted public property without guides to kill their birds.

When I used to drive trucks through there just about all the lakes in the area would be covered with birds during the winter. I suppose you would just have to find out if they had shooting restrictions on the ones you wanted to hunt. You can also find some field shooting opportunities there for the geese and ducks as well as the pheasants.
