Going to Venice on the 12th for a few days to fish and we're thinking about trying to duck hunt one morning while we're down there. I know it's late to try to line up a guide but does anyone know anyone good down on the delta and are the birds worth the hassle of toting the hunting stuff and getting licenses?

I also see that you need a hunters ed if born after 1969. I took it in high school in 1990 or so but my card has since turned to dust. Any ideas on how to get verification? Does the DNR keep track of that type of stuff from that long ago?

    Thanks.

Yes DNR keeps records on that stuff, and you can get a copy of it.
