    Default What grass to plant

What would you plant right now, in full red dirt?

Just put in a in ground pool, and basically my back yard is red right now.

My house is built on a cow pasture so I’m not looking for no sod or anything fancy, I need to know what will cover in with the heat and direct sun.

Zoysia. Make dead sure the Bermuda out there now is completely dead before you plant.

Right now the only thing other than red dirt is Bahia grass.

I like my Bermuda just fine. We put a pool in last year and I just mowed the clippings into the bare dirt and it took it right back. Also had sand clay hauled in to back fill a pole barn built on a grade. Same deal, never even put seed down.
