Default Attn floppy bacon lovers/ ketchup on your steak

Guys.... I just cooked up a pound of bacon on the blackstone and a big pot of dreamies, and the bacon was so crisp it was easy to use as a bacon spoon or crush up in your grits.

And It would be arrogant of me to think, on this planet with the billions of people , that there isn’t someone out there that can come close to making a pot of grits taste as good as I do. I acknowledge that possibility, however slim it may be. So while you guys chew or play with your floppy bacon and lather your ribeye with ketchup, know that I had a piece of bacon fall on the table and break into pieces because it was so crispy.

I don't do over-cooked bacon. Crispy bacon is for baked potato topping (and grits). But I don't put anything on my Ribeye, except salt and pepper.

I feel the exact same damn way. Every time I try grits in public, the chef was told of grits, but had never in his or her life HAD grits. So they assume the undercooked, watery mess they come up with is "grits" and since they're sure grits are unappetizing based on their Yankee upbringing, they cheerfully serve it to paying customers with nary another thought.

You lose all the flavor when you burn bacon (crispy)

No problem with bacon in the oven , as long as it’s not floppy. How can you get a spoonful of grits with your bacon if it’s floppy. How can you stir in liver puddin in your grits with floppy bacon?

So I guess the in-state odds would even be higher?

A true atrocity to swine and the world as a whole.
I just lost a significant portion of the little respect I had for this website for allowing membership to continue on this forum for the self professed bacon murderers.

jwilliams....no wonder the starter is going out on that last truck of yours I ended up with.....you must have treated that truck like you treat your bacon.

My great-granny was from King's Mountain, and her breakfasts will be the gold standard for me all the way to the grave. Based on her lessons, I thought everyone ate, and loved, livermush until sometime around junior high.

Needs to be cooked a little bit more if on a sandwich or in grits. Rather have it a little floppy if I'm just eating it by itself or raking it through pancake syrup.
