Default Ford 2.7 eco valve/ head work at 70k miles

Buddy is looking at a 2016 F150 with the 2.7 eco. Owner states he just got it back from a Ford dealer.....had a valve issue that caused some issues and the replaced valves/ did some head work. Dealer and seller states it’s common?

Seems to be a good deal in this market but I haven’t heard of these issues?... run?

10 second google search produced this.

The most common problem with 2.7 Ecoboosts: Valve guide defects (2016-2017 models) 2.7 Ecoboost engines built from April 2016 to January 2017 have a major defect with the cylinder head valve guides. This defect allows oil to leak into the combustion chamber and then burn off.Nov 4, 2020

Buckshot had a 17 through work that had top end rebuilt in the 60-70k range and then threw a rod no long after he got it back and had to have new engine put in.

My ‘19 has started to smoke at startup if it’s been sitting for a few days. 2.7 eco with 90k miles.
