Outdoor/ screen porch fireplace ideas....

Space is 13 x 18 covered porch as it sits now.

Game plan to close in one of the 12ft sides with a wood burning fireplace with tv above mantle. Has anyone used the Isokerne or Firerock kit and then either bricked or rocked outside?

Had a fireplace kit installed, was made of poured concrete and formed by a local Ukranian. Looked like I could have done the same with block. Skim coated and then came back and covered with rock.

Priced Kits and went instead with Full Masonry. Pleased since we could build opening the size we wanted. Cost double in the end, but turned out pretty nice.IMG_20210105_184938886.jpgIMG_20210202_102154544.jpg

Full masonry is the only way to go, dont go low bid and put a damper in it, the shelf and damper are important so if and when you close the porch in you got a real fireplace. Ive done the fire rock before for gas logs, seemed like an overpriced Lego set to me.
