    Default Bushoggin and bees

In my best Forrest imitation... something bit me.
Damned yellow jackets, 2 near left ankle, 2 behind right knee, 3 on my stomach and I don't know how many on my back, at least 4.
Been a while, guess I was due.

A wasp won’t chase you very far. A ground bee on the other hand will chase you as far as you’re willing to run!

Damn, one sting is enough to adjust an attitude. Getting hit 7-8 times would suck.

Get a mess of Hornets latched on to your back as you are running to the lake to get them off and get back to me.

Ground bees hurt but not for long. Hornets hurt really bad for a really long time. I hand one bite me on the back of my head once, and I had to catch a knee from getting dizzy from the pain. It’s nothing like a ground bee.

The yellow jackets have been hell this year. I’ve hit 4 or 5 nest in the last 3 weeks while mowing in Lexington. .

I hate those freakin yellow jackets. Cut over a nest a few years back with a push mower. Thought I had a couple of briars sticking my bare legs then I realized I was screwed. Got me about 8 times. Not good.

older guy i bought my place from had a bush hog out back with a piece of threaded rod attached to a back wheel on it.....had a piece of an old white tshirt zip tied to the top. claimed when you hit a nest the bees would attack the white cloth instead of you...

Yellow jackets attack black. They’ve gotten me before.

My 13 yr old got his butt eat up Tuesday morning. We were on our way to football practice and there turned out to be a nest on the passenger side of the truck. They swarmed him. Got up his shorts and hit him 6 times on his left inner thigh right beside his “ boys,” 5 times behind his knee, 5 times on each ankle and a random spattering on his right leg. Poor boy was miserable.

He was wearing black shorts and black socks.
