    Default Amazon

So, I ran out of something that I ordered and liked. Once again, when I went to re-order that price was double after one month.

This has repeatedly happened since way before the world went totally off it's rocker.

I notice that when I don't reorder, but keep looking, a a month or so later they will offer it again at the older price. Any Amazon ordering pro's know how to keep getting the original price or is it just one of those "it is what it is" things?

I’ll have an item in the cart for a few weeks and the price will fluctuate up and down regularly. Sometimes it’s for a few pennies, sometimes it’s a considerable amount. I’ve noticed the price will change even from the same seller.

Use the Camel add-on in Chrome and it graphs price changes.

You can also add Honey. It will email you on price drops.

Camel can be set to alert you at a targeted price if you want.

They have pricing algorithms that will maximize the price you are willing to pay. If you are on auto reorder you pay the highest price.

Do you realize that Amazon is a conglomeration of sellers, not just one big monolithic beast like Walmart? There are thousands of brick and mortar businesses that sell and distribute through Amazon. I know a couple of local shops that supplement their bottom line with on line sales through Amazon.

There is a plugin you can install to your web browser called "Honey" It will track the price of items and notify you when they drop. I use it often and has been helpful.
