How else are you going to keep those cold patch crews employed. You got to let 'em work and let 'em live. It's cheaper to repair over, and over, and over, and over.................... than it is to fix once.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

At least they fix yours. You could drop a vw beetle off in some of the ones on my street and my wifes nails every one of them

I agree except the county resident should pay for it not the whole state.

It's ongoing. There's a team of folks working off a barge with a trackhoe along with another dive team boat.

They are improving the travel around the lake.

How humanitarian. Makes you wonder about all those extra herbicide applications and carp...

you probably cant. Most likely, they already know who the "stump remover" will be
and how the money will be split up

Asking questions like that will change things, there would be a prequalifying process and seal bids open in public in a DNR board room or public building. All these projects need those type questions asked and a FOIA submitted. Some not all count on apathy. We cannot expect elected officials to be straightforward. Attending a few meetings a year will change things. They have done well with transparency you can watch live. This list is good but only a beginning for S.C. Twenty years ago none of these things would have to be defended.

Also, shockingly SLEDs public building was closed today for some odd reason. Now reporters are asking why about many things.

I think I know the solution to getting the roads fixed.

Look for your legislator in that list. Write down what they got.

Then get some spray paint and paint his/her name on that pot hole big enough it can be seen at speed and take pictures to start a social media campaign with those projects they pushed. @ them at every opportunity.

I-85 interchange justification report is 1 mil? Are they talking about the 85/385 interchange? If so nobody needs to justify that and how the hell does a report saying that traffic is flowing better worth that much

As for the unemployment work training how about they train the workers to answer the phone. We have sat on the phone on hold for over 5 hours trying to get somebody to answer and nobody does. Wouldn't pick up to let me question why a former employee was getting paid more and longer than they worked for me

When did he turn into a land developer?

I thought he was a sports medicine guy. His comments on the other thread about developing the nun's property was his usual poor attempt at humor/deflection to criticism.

Florence county does not border Lake Marion.

Doesn’t border Charleston harbor either but they want to spend a million dollars an acre over there. And if anyone thinks he gives a shit about the foot on your outboard think again. He’d develop every last acre of lake front property then over pay for 23 acres for a park after it was all ruined by progress and make us foot the fucking bill.
