Default Does recent SC gun legislation allow for towns/cities to enact stricter laws?

I have not read all of the legalese regarding the newest gun legislation from Columbia, assuming I'd understand it anyway.

But, for those of you who may understand all of the nuances involved, is there anything in that legislation that enables SC towns, cities, et al, to enact stricter gun laws than those of the State? Most States don't allow that... except Democrap ones.

So, did our "Conservatives" let that slide through hoping we'd miss it, or have a lot of us been told a false story by a certain group that's active around the State that I tend to question the truthfulness of?

Check out Alan Wilson's ruling a few months back.

I remember that, which is what I always thought the State law to be.

I follow the 'Fan of SC' group to keep an eye on what's being claimed - real or imagined - about what goes on in Columbia. I recently got a text from them that reads:

"THEY ATTACKED YOUR GUN RIGHTS: Come demand answers from your State legislators about why they empowered local governments to enact gun control -> ...."

I can/t find where this is true, so that's why I'm asking the 'SCD Brain Trust' (I know, I know... a conundrum wrapped in an enigma) if I'm missing something in the most recent legislation.

Is FAN of SC full of it, as they've been known to occasionally(?) twist the real truth vs their version thereof... or are they on to something the rest of us have missed?

I just realized you meant the Freedom Action Network. I did not see anything on their social media that alluded to this. They are usually overzealous and watercooler Wednesday filming potholes was bad. The gas tax made sense if not for the income tax and sales tax. Most of their stuff is links to "The Nerve". I think bogus. Now the RINOs just tell us what they are doing.

The answer to your question is no. Didn’t stop Columbia from trying though

Thanks for the comment. I’ve long questioned the intent and accuracy of these guys, and have challenged them on numerous facts, including the details of the gas tax and the project map for roadwork, etc, but they keep wizzin’ in the wind trying to get people fired up.

The problem is that I don’t trust 99% of the GA any more than I do them, do figuring out who’s telling the truth is usually a challenge.
