    Rare? Hardly.

See them often on the wrecks and ledges off MHC.

Most of the carpenters I worked with down on long boat were out of work grouper diggers that couldn’t make it after the Jew and square crack down.

There were some nice fish caught off a SOLID square for a couple days last year before some local Goose Crecians decided to call in the Coast Guard
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Do the fertilized eggs drift with the seas and embryos develop where they drift?

These catches seem to be rare, leading me to believe that if the above is factual, then once they reach a certain size, they push offshore?

Wonder why they wouldn’t just stay inshore with all the bait and structure like they do in Tampa Bay?
We caught a handful in Store Creek last summer. Tagged and released one, and the dang thing got recaught the next day.

On a related note, I always assume people who call dolphin "mahi", or worse, "mahi mahi" are from Ohio and/or wear white socks. And white sunglasses.

    Ah, my good man, Foots...

This isn't rad salt lingo; my man Fro is simply recounting catching a grouper using a vermillion snapper as bait at said reef. You're welcome, bubba.

Oh, and bottom-bumping (lingo intended) doesn't usually involve the ol' mousetrap. Carry on.
