    Default Suzuki 115 issues

Tried researching as I don’t have a manual. I have a 2011 Suzuki dt 115 that when I turn the key over, will sound off that’s it’s ready to crank, but when I go to turn the key, nothing.

Trim works, everything works, except actually getting it to turn over.

Got wind it may be a neutral safety switch but it also says there is two.
One at the remote and one on the motor.

I can’t find anything on the web that shows me where it is, or how to replace.

Anyone had this issue or have a guy that’s within an hour of Greenwood?

Friend has this happen multiple times with his Yamaha F115 and it’s always a connection issue on the battery. Something worth checking

    Make sure it’s in neutral.

    starter neutral switch in shifter
shift selector switch on motor, down under linkage most often
    kill switch w/ lanyard

you can bypass all three by unplugging on most motors
Put a known good battery on it before doing anything

Never mind, if it’s not doing anything wouldn’t be that

Had that happen to mine before and tried everything trying to figure it out. Ended up being a wire the wasn’t tight enough. Seems like it was a white wire but I can’t remember where it was located. It wasn’t on the battery but a main power wire that was in my console I think. Wish I could be more help but it was a couple years ago. Anyway all of that may be wrong but it was a power issue. If I hit a wave it would kill the motor and everything else would work but the motor would not turn over.

Check connections and bypass the NSS as said above

Depending on how the ignition switch is mounted moisture can get inside, cause corrosion and contact issues and it won't crank. 2011 is about the right age for it to happen too. Just a thought.

edit: I sprayed WD 40 in my neighbors Honda ignition on her pontoon boat a couple months ago and she fired right up.

Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Check the in-line fuse or fuse block that comes off the battery. Pretty sure I worked on a Suzuki with similar issues and it was that square fuse.
