I bought a Savage axis bull barrel here last year and want to change out the cheap assed stock. Looking at a Boyds laminate.
Many stocks are not made for the axis, dang rifle shoots 1/2 moa and deserves a better stock.
Any other suggestions?

I have a Axis Heavy barrel and I've been trying to find the same thing.
I put a Boyds laminate on an axis a couple years ago. Made a huge difference
Boyd’s varmint tactical. Got one foe my sons axis .308
Looks like a limited selection for sure. I was trying to find one on Stocky's, but I can't seem to see anything for the Axis. Might be stuck with Boyd's.
Thanks ya'll- Boyds it is.
7-10 business days production time plus shipping time- I should have it in about 3 weeks
Boyds website
select build/price
select make
select model- axis bull barrel
select action length
pick out which stock you want with LOP, recoil pad etc
You will probably have to glass bed that Boyd's stock and free float the barrel to get the accuracy you're getting out of the plastic stock.
Note - the great Kelly McMillan of the company that bore his name passed recently. Great innovator. Huge loss to his family and the rifle shooting community.
F**K Cancer
Just Damn.
Try a chassis if you haven't already. Ton of benefits IMO for modularity, accessories, and no need for bedding. I've used a bunch and my favorite so far is PDC custom G5LE with folder. Otherwise greyboe for more traditional looking stocks is my preference
I got the Boyds laminate- drop in perfect fit and free floated. shoots 1/2" at 100 no matter how you hold the stock now- factory would flex and cause fliers.- Now needs good glass.
