Long story, but the state and NC claimed he was in talks with them about “gifting” but he died before anything was writtten down.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    Of course.

It’s the lower dike to Jason’s lake.

i cant read 13 pages...but i'm sure money is involved somewhere and DT is telling us "its ok. it was just extra money we weren't using for anything"

its probably worth more than the state will pay for it but its still a lot of money.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

The need for DNR to run a wedding venue was pretty great.

I'm from the goobermint and here to help, so long as you keep your mouth shut and let me spend excessively on pet projects I deem good for me, err you.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Check out the purposed education spending, the Dems are excited. No mention of vouchers for those taking the burden of education their children at $12 per student off the taxpayers. No committee to look into the increase administrators per pupil or the nepotism school boards create. Just increase not cutting fat. We saw most teachers work ethics during Covid.

    5.3 million residents.

    - Percent of residents with paid hunting licenses: 3.6%
    - Total paid hunting license holders: 181,820

What percentage of the state budget do hunters pay?

What percentage of conservation dollars should support consumptive sports?

Hunting License sales are flat while our state grew 20% in 10 years.

You don't seem to understand. It's not about fishing, hunting, bird watching , etc

There are more issues that need $23 million dollars than a speck of land on the coast that has no beneficial use. You can link all the articles in the world to justify it but in the end it's still a waste.

It is a waste to someone who does not plan to ever visit the property. I got my $5 worth in one visit.

Maybe you should buy it yourself and charge admission. Takes a lot of $5's to pay a $23 million dollar tab.
