These idiots squat them to the point that they literally couldn’t see a 6’’ foot person 15’’ foot in front of them, let alone a kid. There are more safety reasons than that, but that in itself is enough IMO.

Headlights, lack of steering ability, airbags not being able to be triggered…

You’re ignorant. Ignorant is lack of knowledge. A leveled truck blinds oncoming traffic more that a squatted truck that headlights point straight up in the air.

I know a kid with a squatted truck that thinks diesel trucks are stupid. Does that mean they should be outlawed?

Better yet I know a kid that thinks deleted diesel trucks are stupid and should be illegal..... wait a second they are illegal deleted.

Rep. David Willis, a Republican from Union County outside of Charlotte, said he belongs to a Jeep enthusiast group and asked to exempt Jeeps from the rules.

“It’s very common for a lot of these to have four-inch lifts, 37-inch wheels on there,” Willis said, warning lawmakers to be cautious of angering people passionate about modifying their vehicles.

“You’ll have an awful lot of Jeeps parked out on Jones Street (in front of the legislative building) one day and, you know, making a statement of their own,” he said.

But Jeeps are excluded with 4 inch lift and 37 inch tires.....

What else is dangerous that you want to make laws for? Sports cars? Guns?

    Exactly.

If you don’t like it, don’t do it to your truck.

The law is not for squatting. You can’t raise the vehicle more than 3 inches in the front or lower 2 inches in the rear.

Basically no more lifted or lowered vehicles. Should get interesting.

I ain't gonna lie. My f150 I drive every day is leveled. I used to get blinked at all the time like people are telling me my high beams are on, but they aren't. I first thought it was I just had some really good headlights. I ain't no vehicle man, I leave that to Kevin. Then I passed my wife one night while she was driving my truck and it damn near ran me off the road it was so bright. The kid I bought the truck from had it leveled and I reckon never adjusted the headlights.

It says "and" not "or" in regards to lifting the front and rear. I interpret that to saying you can lift the front or lower the rear, but not both simultaneously. You can jack it up, or slam it, but you can't squat it.

If Turbo’s kids are driving, we have bigger issues than their trucks being squatted.

I had a buddy back in college with a leveled truck. His daddy was in the tombstone business and would have him haul one from time to time. One headstone in the bed would absolutely mega squat his truck.

I’d rather see blue neon/xeon/zion/whatever LED headlights gone than some redneck trend.

If you level a truck without adjusting headlights you should be fined. Installer and owner

    Fuck. Yes.

I agree with Sportin, and echo JAB's thoughts. What didnt they do while working on this...?

This is feel good legislation. Unenforceable. I cant wait to see how many kids are pulled over for "probable cause" while the trooper gets out his measuring stick to make sure everything is in compliance.
