    Default Just Fishing

My daughter has never shown much of an interest in going so I don’t push her to go.

The other week we took the canoe out to the saluda to cool off and she wanted to try and cast one of my spinning reels. Picked it up fast and was putting her baits on the x every other cast.

Now every chance we have she wants to go fishing.

Woke me up at 0630 yesterday morning and asked to go because I said fish bite better in the mornings.

We still have to take a break and do “fun stuff” in between but she’s picking it up and caught two nice warmouth on beetle spins yesterday. They’re hitting the grease tonight.

We found a cicada that had just shed its chrysalis. She kept him safe while he wings dried enough to fly away. Even went for a trip on the zip line.

    can't beat that
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

That white with a red dot along with the black with a yellow dot are 2 of my favorite beetle spins. If they don't bite those you def ain't holding your mouth right.

    Very nice.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

    This for me....

ETA: Well done J! I most appreciate the jelly shoes on the mud bank...my daughter loves being barefoot but not in the mud.
