    Default Battery Acid Cleanup

I had a battery leak all in the bow compartment of my boat. It seems like it’s all dried up now and has a thick consistency. What is the best way to clean it up? Does it need to be neutralized?

Dry acid is still working. Mix a baking soda water solution and start scrubbing

    Wear old clothes.

I have ruined a few things messing with leaking batteries over the years.

Lots of baking soda to neutralize and sweep or flush out if it'll drain properly.

    Did you overcharge your batteries?

    Battery boxes are cheap.
