I always just do the dry route, that way it appeals to different tastes. You can always add your sauce later, but 95% of people say they like them without any sauce. I like my spicy Smokey sauce drizzled on top

Boomer, had you ever cooked on one of his grills before?

Did it perform exactly how you wanted?

Never have prior to buying it. There are a few things I would change and will change. Starting with the burners. The mixing valve needs to be outside of the cooker. No idea why it was inside. I am also going to add a piece of plate at the firebox opening inside the main chamber. Pretty good hot spot right there that needs to be tamed. Then some odd and ends that I have thought of since buying it.

The key is to sprinkle them with some holy goslpel rub so it kinda candies on the outside of the bacon. Heck i cant hardly start the smoker without having to make them for my wife. She could eat them everyday.

Love em too. Try putting one peeled skrimp in there with a little cheese of choice before you reassemble and bacon wrap. Lump Crabmeat mixed with cream cheese is a good alternative.

As much as I enjoy eating what I cook, I had an idea yesterday that I would like to cook next year for a Gold Star family. Just a little something to thank them for the sacrifice of their family member.
