    Default Memorial Day Weekend 2021

    Let's see what y'all got...

Beef ribs, baby backs, St. Louis ribs, a butt...

We had the whole neighborhood smelling so good that this guy decided to pay us a visit. That would be Mrs. GB, aka Mrs. Wild Kingdom/Snake Handler doing her thing... And special thanks to the owner of Pine Street Animal Hospital for letting us know the critter was out there about to unleash chaos on some poor unsuspecting jogger.

Yeah, wondering if y’all would pick up on that.

My youngest daughter asked about crab legs in the boil. I told her 30lbs of crawfish and 5lbs of shrimp was enough, if she wanted some to go get them.... I would have lost money on that bet, she rolled up with a few clusters. She was the first to jump in and grab her crabs legs too.

I did charge her a chef tax if 1 leg though.

On Friday did some whole butts for some friends and turned around for a neighborhood cook. Last night did some easy chicken for dinner. Time to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Drove to Kentucky Friday morning to cook for a good friends wedding. Left at 530am ET Friday and didn’t go to sleep until 930pm CT Saturday night. 60lb of pork shoulder, 50lbs of chicken, 3 gal of canned green beans, 3 gallon of baked beans, and some miscellaneous veggies. Shoulders were cut off the pigs Tuesday. Frozen that night and the largest one just barely had thawed out. Didn’t get pics of the butts. Only pic I snapped was of the bottom rack of chicken. Took little man to Dino World Sunday morning and got back around 1030 last night.

Mom called this morning and said she wanted ribs. Loaded everything up this morning and started ribs about 1pm.

Wife smoked a 16lb brisket last night while I was out fishing all night. It was delicious!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
