    Default Any word on KS?

Anyone out there get good news out of KS draw yet? Just found out we were unsuccessful.....again. Apparently getting a KS bow tag with the draw used to be as easy as over the counter. Not anymore. Denied 2 out of the last 3 years. Nothing like having a lease and feeding year around to get the worst email you can get....UNSUCCESSFUL

I hunted KS three years in a row. Rifle tags were drawn each year like I bought them over the counter.

Let me understand this. You lease ground, but need a special tag to shoot some critter on it that may or may not be forthcoming? I need to set up a racket like this...

Could you not set the place up so you could get outfitter tags each year?

Haven’t really explored that option due to the fact that they have always been so easy to get. Need to back up and punt now. Just too busy being pissed right now.

Being pissed ain't gonna get you a tag. Explore Cali's option, like yesterday.

SCDNR does it every year with alligators and ducks.

Got drawn for unit 11 & 14 archery!

Kansas doesn’t do outfitter tags, and landowner tags aren’t transferable. You gotta draw to play. If anyone knows any form of loophole other than owning and paying taxes on 81+ acres let me know. Kansas seems to not mess around when it comes to OOS tags.

I think I remember a SCDNR guy who found a loophole out there. Turned out to be more of a noose as I recall...

There are a few exceptions. If you’re stationed there, doing farm help for X number of days, etc. But they don’t allow transfer of tags or outfitter tags to my knowledge. I have a square to hunt with a really good friend that lives out there. All I have to do is draw....

Didn’t put in for KS but put in for elk, mule deer, pronghorn and Mt goat in Nevada , Idaho and Utah and so far I’m 0 for 6 in two states. Idaho up next. Also unsuccessful for KY elk again for the 4th year in a row
