Just wanted to let everyboy know that AR is looking for input from duck hunters on banning all mechanical devices. If you want to send an e-mail with your input. The address is

    (kccartwright@agfc.state.ar.us).

I know from my experience that the ban on the Robo duck the past two years has made a big difference.
It would also be a good idea to mention about removing the decoys from Dave Donaldson WMA.

Can we ban RUBBAHAIDS? That would solve 78% of the problem that man can fix.

Why can't people hunt without them ? They did it before. i hear guys say they just refuse to go duck hunting without one. It's a pacifier is all it is. Put the hunt back in hunting.

Amen Duckman #1, I own one and refuse to hunt with it. Back when I started hunting ( 30 yrs. ago) we were more concerned with learning how to call, decoy placement, and scouting. This new generation of hunter wants overnight sucess that we work years to learn. Maybe us long time hunters should take some of these newer hunters under our wing and teach them a better way to hunt,( a more rewarding way )

I'm finding it hard to believe that other states haven't followed AR lead. What the hell is holding up SC and these other states. Mechanical decoys are NOT a necessity for killing ducks so why not ban the damn things?

As to the decoy issue,AR needs to ban the overnight decoy crap, just like they did the mechanical ducks. Too many assholes think they own a hole. Time for AR to clamp down on that junk as well.

Seems Arkansas has some balls and is wanting to do the right thing - things that will help the ducks and hunting for the future - unlike here in SC where we being held captive by the damn tamies - we can't do anything that would help in the future because the tamie breeders and shooters will cry about it and stop it - more power to Arkansas.

Not to mention that decoys work like, ummmmm...lets see, decoys. So why have a competitive spread out with no one hunting over it?

Pick up your decoys, your trash, and leave the woods and water better than it was when you arrived.

If you leave your deeks on public water is like throwing trash in the river and I don't think the palmetto pride folk will let you slide

Getting rid of tamies here will never happen. Too much politics and money involved. Maybe the next best thing is put pressure on the politicians to ban the robo's.

Yep you can raise all the damn duck you want up north and have a blizard and we'll still never see ducks here again on public water. Flyway Foundation can raise 40 million mallards and if 1% come here their going to JAB's which will do nothing for me or 99.999% of you! No offense JAB.

Word I heard from a AR State Trooper was AR is looking at bringing the Robo's back. This is hearsay!

i personally would like to have someone older to take me on a few hunts and teach me a thing or two, this past season was my first time ever duck hunting and i went 5 or so times with buckshot and no offense to him, i learned a lot from what he taught me that he learned from other older folks he learned from and i still plan to hunt with him this coming season, but i would just like to see what some of you older guys have to teach, i'm not trying to be a bum or a rubbahead or anything, i just want to learn the sport of duck hunting and have fun, what say ye veterans?

my thought exactly cusportsman. Last year was also my first time duck hunting. I have a boat, a few decoys, just need the know-how. Never really had anyone to teach me the ways of hunting, everything i know is from reading magazines, research on-line....etc... i am not asking for hand outs i am willing to work for it. Just need a knowlegable instructor. Not as fortunate as some with fathers who taught them how to hunt. Mine was never really into that he was always working.
